Career Development plays a key role in your ultimate success. We do so by bridging the worlds of college and career with the goal of making you career ready!
Regardless of where you are on the journey — selecting a major, searching for an internship, or beginning your job search — we can help you get where you want to go.
Not sure about a major? We will help you discover your interests and connect it to the ideal career.
Career Development utilizes Handshake, a job search platform where employers advertise open positions to USF students and alumni. New jobs are posted regularly, so log in frequently. In addition, we can direct you to numerous job search websites.
The Center hosts Job Search Workshops throughout the academic year that outline best practices for a successful search, interview skills, and network development.
Whether you’re looking for summer work, a part-time job, an internship, or the position that will launch your career, you’ll need a resume. Our resume workshops will teach you the right way to present your accomplishments. We’ll help you identify the skills you’ve acquired through your education, work, and volunteer experiences — and we’ll show you how to present them in a way that gains the attention of potential employers.
See our Schedule & Sign Up to attend upcoming workshops. You may also contact the Career Development Center via Handshake to set up and appointment for individual assistance with your job search.
Do you need professional attire for an interview or other experience? If so, we can help! We can support you in your transition into the workplace with one free professional outfit. Come to the Academic and Career Development Center to find what you need!
